As the global recession sends shockwaves through the legal sector, altering standard operating procedures for law firms large and small and the expectations of law students and lawyers alike, the USF School of Law presents the legal employment symposium, How to Navigate the Changing Legal Landscape from the Ground Up.
This symposium included four panel discussions featuring prominent legal commentators, practitioners, and those who have pursued alternative careers. The panels focus on:
- The business of running a successful law practice
- The nuts and bolts of conducting solo or small firm practice
- The alternative careers of JD's not engaged in the traditional practice of law
- Possible law firm models for the future
